well and, another thing:
Aristocrats and hunting have a long history
aristocracy > privilege > hunting > dominance, the claim of supremacy that allows the “privilege” of killing and subjugating “a kingdom” (nonhuman animals) they can’t rule and corrupt.

little smiling hooks: talking to myself about problematic veganism again
puzzled-panther:
i’m so tired of thinking about this, but… i’m finding it harder and harder to be Vegan with a capital “V” at this point. i’m still vegan and i will always be vegan. but to me, veganism has always meant the belief that animals are not objects and the recognition of speciesism. the BELIEF. not the…

unique, double, triple and quadruple standards
#animalrights #speciesism #vegan
Vegan Capitalist on twitter made me aware of :
Why does @TheAtlantic continue to publish logically flawed “happy meat” propaganda from Nicolette Hahn Niman? bit.ly/s9EFZf #vegan
so I found out about:
veggie: Hahn Niman - speciesist ideologist - righteousporkchop.com/abouttheauthor/
former veggie: Joshua Applestone - speciesist ideologist , runs “Fleisher’s Grassfed and Organic Meats”
former veggie: Tovar Cerulli - speciesist ideologist - vegan turned hunter calling himself mindful carnivore
MORE THAN GROSS!!!
vegetarian / vegan speciesism (unfortunately that oxyMORONIC behavior exists) is another point that proves that veggiesism is ethically not enough. You can be a veggie and not have a clue about ethical obligations, awareness, co-/ inter-species responsibility, etc, etc.

gender
it seems we always think we have to chose between a human male and a human female genderization. How about we discover our own “gender”, and not stay just being boyish or manly or girlish or womanly (even if it is expected of us to be either or a mixture. How about new self-imposed genderizations to heal the wounds and go on from there to create different and perhaps new pathes.)
came to my mind watching J. Butler discussing gender : is gender performative : http://bigthink.com/ideas/30766

Thanksgiving, for what
Just commented this on some real speciesist programm: http://www.marketplace.org/topics/life/freakonomics-radio/your-thanksgiving-turkey-probably-product-artificial-insemination
4o million times an injustice done doesn’t make such acts right or “funny”. And even if money can buy anything and is such an abstract tool, subjugating all under “it’s market value” is that what we are all so sick of now. No matter what. #animalrights

I heard about the killing of camels …
Animal slaughter equals animal sacrifice in religious terms. I came a group of Iranian journalists who were discussing the slaughter of camels in Islamic countries. I googled the issue, it’s horrific. Just look at this:
Eid Al-Adha: Animals “The most important feature of this Eid is to sacrifice an animal. The rich should perform the sacrifice and not neglect it.” I took this from some site at random seeing that this “religious feast” is all about slaughtering nonhuman animals.
The Iranian journalists compared the attitude showed towards life in regard to nonhuman animals to the same attitude shown towards humans. Of course nonhuman animals are factually treated worse and have a worse position that any human has in e homocentrist world. We need human rights to have the right to defend nonhuman animals, that’s for sure though.
After seeing many graphic documentations especially of camel slaughter I also came across this petition that you guys should all sign too:
This is nothing to do with religion, and it’s all about injustice towards nonhuman animals too (homocentrism)
